Reliability & improvements from your feedback (ongoing)
We've been heads-down on a large batch of reliability fixes and improvements driven by your feedback — making the app steadier and the resources better.
On the roadmap
Committed, not started
Printable PDF — clean child-facing student page, teacher notes after
A redesigned printable PDF where the first page is built for the student — child-friendly font, generous spacing, and all their content together — and the teacher notes follow on the pages after.
Saved library — teacher-facing view of past generations
A saved library so you can come back any time and find every passage you've made — no more re-generating or losing work.
Auto-detect genre from subject (e.g. non-fiction)
Let teachers ask for non-fiction (or fiction) by typing the genre into the subject field.
Tighter blend progression after digraphs
Allow word structures like *ship*, *dash* and *shock* immediately after digraphs are taught, so the new digraphs get reinforced straight away.
Self-serve billing portal
Manage your subscription, update payment details, download invoices and cancel — all without emailing us.
Generate multiple resources from one set of inputs
Generate the whole suite of resources from one set of inputs, instead of re-entering the same student details for each resource type.
Considering
Ideas we like — no commitment yet
"Use this for my student" action on shared resources
When you open a resource someone shared with you, a one-click "Use this for my student" button lets you generate your own version with the same programme and concept already filled in — no re-entering settings from scratch.
Durable server-side share links (replace/supplement URL-fragment sharing)
Shared resource links will work reliably everywhere — including when copied into Messenger, WhatsApp, or other apps that truncate long links — instead of sometimes opening to a blank screen.
SEO: get the app indexed by Google (staged — do when we go wider)
We're preparing the app so it can be found on Google when we open it up beyond the founding cohort.
Keep raising decodability accuracy (ongoing quality lever)
Keep raising the accuracy of every resource — so each word can genuinely be sounded out using only the sounds a student has been taught, with nothing slipping through that would trip them up.
Auto-mailer: thank-you email when feedback ships
When a piece of feedback you sent ships, we email to let you know.
Multi-seat support for Founding School tier (up to 10 teachers, pooled quota)
A way for a single school to manage up to 10 teachers under one subscription, with self-serve seat management.
International contexts (AU/UK/USA) — region selector
A region selector (NZ / AU / UK / USA) so resources use the right place names, spellings and cultural references for your country.
Make stories more engaging (quality lever)
Make the generated stories and sentences more vivid and engaging — engagement is the lowest-scoring quality dimension today and the next big lever.
Audio recording with auto words-per-minute
Record a student reading a fluency passage and get their words-per-minute and accuracy automatically, with playback so they can hear themselves read.
AI-generated illustrations for picture grids
Add simple AI-generated illustrations to picture grids so children can see the picture, say the word and write it.
Picture grids (text + placeholder images)
A printable 3x3 grid of decodable words with image boxes for the classic see-it, say-it, write-it phonics activity.
